The High Priestess Prayer Bead Set

A taufr of introspection and initiation.
This set of prayer beads is unique and holds a powerful meaning. The necklace is made from sections of an antique human skull carved into beads. These beads are the ultimate symbol of transformation and spiritual rebirth. The Death Ritual statue hanging from the beads is carved from a deer antler. Only one of its kind exists; it is truly unique. It represents the process of initiation and personal evolution- The death of the old self and the creation of the new self.

Four Rudraksha beads are nestled between the skull sections, reminding the wearer to ride out and meet the conflicts or obstacles head-on. Four as a number of completion reminds the wearer that not only is the completion of the initiation critical but also the full integration of each arm of the journey.  

Wearing it reminds you that turbulent times are often the beginning of a journey towards greater strength and wisdom.

Each ordeal on the spiritual journey should be considered an opportunity to layer new prayers over the beads, giving it further significance to the wearer. Like a patina on silver, gold, wood, or stone, the prayer beads begin to have a gravity and life of their own over time.

The prayer beads measure 24.5 inches in circumference, and the one-of-a-kind hand-made pendant measures 3 inches in height.  
 
The beads come in a velvet-lined cigar box from Germany made in the 1800s. The box is adorned with original cigar labels depicting a High Priestess-like figure.

The labels bear a traditional German Coat of Arms. The imagery of the figure in front of the Bremer Coat of Arms is significant as the High Priestess is traditionally the vital bearer and the keeper of the book of law. She is the gatekeeper of the information necessary for transformation and higher spiritual wisdom. She represents the doorway of the initiate- The Will to change, the activation of psychic energy required to activate an Archetypal Energy, and the devotion it costs to achieve the higher ideal. The images on the cigar box beautifully represent the relationship between the High Priestess and the :R: rules that bring about a successful initiation.
