Triumph of Death Prayer Beads

These prayer beads are constructed with 108 (8mm) wooden beads -Bulnesia arborea sp., Commonly known as Verawood or Green Sandalwood, and 6 (4mm) smaller beads that finish the end. The color of this wood tends to darken with age, especially upon exposure to light.

The prayer beads are finished with a sterling silver pendant made from a Gregorian era wax seal.

Wax seal symbolism is often derived from heraldic imagery- the skull and crossed thigh bones are symbolic of mortality, and sprigs or branches of laurels represent victory, triumph, and fame, especially when gained after a long inner struggle.

It can be worn around the neck as a long necklace, wrapped around the wrist multiple times as a bracelet, or adorn your altar.

We knot our prayer beads with a traditional technique in which all 108 beads are strung on a single cord and then tied

The necklace comes in a velvet-lined cigar box.
The box can be used as a jewelry box, keepsake, or heirloom storage, or as a valet box for personal items.
